Cela a si bien fonctionn\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent que beaucoup de gens le consid\u00e8rent comme acquis : nous sommes nombreux \u00e0 vivre bien dans l\u2019UE. <\/p><p>Mais la paix, la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9 et la d\u00e9mocratie sont des acquis durement gagn\u00e9s en Europe \u2013 des g\u00e9n\u00e9rations d\u2019Europ\u00e9en(ne)s ont d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 les concepts de valeurs communes, de droits fondamentaux et de gouvernement d\u00e9mocratique au fil des si\u00e8cles et dans des conditions difficiles.<\/p><p>Mais le nationalisme, l\u2019intol\u00e9rance et les discriminations existent malheureusement toujours, et ils gagnent m\u00eame en intensit\u00e9. Sur Internet et les r\u00e9seaux sociaux, les discours haineux et misanthropes ainsi que les slogans nationalistes et d\u2019extr\u00eame droite ont le vent en poupe. Les partis populistes de droite et nationalistes gagnent de plus en plus de partisan(e)s \u00e0 travers l\u2019Europe. Lorsqu\u2019ils acc\u00e8dent au pouvoir, ils remanient d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment les structures d\u00e9mocratiques de mani\u00e8re \u00e0 d\u00e9manteler les acquis de la d\u00e9mocratie lib\u00e9rale.   <\/p><p>La protection des valeurs communes n\u2019est pas uniquement l\u2019affaire des \u00c9tats membres et des institutions de l\u2019UE. C\u2019est nous qui, au quotidien, par nos paroles et nos actes, ne cessons de faire valoir ces valeurs. \u00catre conscient(e) de cela, vivre ces valeurs et les d\u00e9fendre ne n\u00e9cessite souvent qu\u2019un bref moment de r\u00e9flexion sur soi-m\u00eame, parfois du courage civique et parfois une confrontation tenace avec d\u2019autres opinions et points de vue.  <\/p><p>Ce sont nos
